Trailer: Annabelle

Before The Conjuring, there was Annabelle. The new tagline for the upcoming spinoff film to James Wan’s The Conjuring in which a doll becomes possessed by a deranged cultist killer and forces itself into the lives of John and Mia Form.

What was the last creepy doll movie? Oh yea, another James Wan related film, Dead Silence and lets not forget about the doll in the Saw movies either. Wan has a major hard on for creepy killer dolls, but then again, dolls are absolutely horrific in the first place.

[POSTERS] Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead

deadsnow2

Nazi horror, aka Nazisploitation, is my bread and butter. With the fascination I have with Nazi culture and my love for horror, every Nazi horror movie is a win-win in my book.

Today, a new poster was revealed for “Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead” and it’s freakin’ awesome (and maybe a little offense to certain Christian going groups). This poster most likely won’t make it into movie theater marquees or hallways, but lets face it the movie itself will most likely not make the big screen. However, the sequel is due in Theaters October 10 helmed by “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” director Tommy Wirkola and returns Norwegian actor Vegar Hoel.

They’re not just zombies. They’re Nazi zombies.

And there’s a lot of them. On the orders of a rotten Führer, the zombies from Dead Snow return to settle old German scores. In the continuation of the epic splatterfest from 2009, Martin, the sole survivor of the first movie, prove that there’s more badass shit in Northern Norway than even Nazi zombies would be prepared for. The table is set for a massive revenge epic, where blood, guts, brains and throats are not the only things dredged up from the darkness. Old hatred never rots.

Trailer: Open Windows

I’ve never really been an Elijah Wood fan until this year. Wood has really impressed me with this recent film selections by going head first into horror thrillers: Grand Piano, Maniac, and the just announced The Last Witch Hunter with Vin Diesel.

A few days ago a trailer was released for the thriller Open Windows costarring the ever so lovely, porn starlet turned actress Sasha Grey.

When Nick (Elijah Wood) discovers that he’s won a dinner date with his favorite star Jill Goddard (Sasha Grey), he’s incredibly excited to finally get the chance to meet her. That excitement deflates when Jill refuses to honor the contest and all of Nick’s hopes are dashed. He’s intriged when Chord (Neil Maskell), a man claiming to be Jill’s campaign manager, offers him something he can’t quite refuse: Chord will give Nick the ability to constantly view Jill via computer. Nick is initially reluctant but Chord persuades him by saying that he should get at least some entertainment out of the actress. However, Nick is unaware that this decision will put himself and Jill at risk.

Sounds great. Even looks great. Can’t wait to see it. Directed by Timecrimes Nacho Vigalando with no release date set yet.
