Horror Short: Happy Halloween

Here’s a little horror short from director Adam Green (“Frozen” (2010), Hatchet) and starring Shawn Ashmore (“Frozen” (2010), ‘The Following’) and Brea Grant (“Halloween II” (2009)). Everything seems normal between a husband and wife chatting over Skype on Halloween night until the truth comes out and a turn for the worst is revealed!

2014 Halloween Commercial #1: Pumpkin is Back – Dunkin’ Donuts and The Headless Horseman

In the month of October (the greatest month of the year), I want to see how many Halloween/Horror commercials I can come across until the end of the month.

The first comes from Dunkin’ Donuts with the return of Pumpkin – Pumpkin Donuts, Coffee, Ice Coffee, etc. The iconic Sleepy Hollow native The Headless Horseman makes a frightening appearance with a flaming pumpkin head and everything and fairly well done too. Check it below.

Trailer: The Houses October Built

Independent horror is a firm fixture and an appreciated business here at Its Bloggin’ Evil and when The Houses October Built came across my lap, I had to post the trailer. Being released just in time for Halloween on October 10th, the film revolves around a group of documentarians looking for the ultimate and most extreme haunted attraction only to end up finding something more sinister – an extreme haunting attraction that found them.

The Houses October Built is based off director Bobby Roe’s documentary of discovering haunted attractions across the nation.

Image Entertainment acquires the Steven Schneider (“Insidious”,”Paranormal Activity”) produced film that also stars Zack Andrews, Mikey Roe, Brandy Schaefer, and Jeff Larson.

More “31” Production Art!

From what I’m seeing from these production art release, I’m getting more and more interested in seeing what this new Rob Zombie film has in store. A new production art was released and it’s more clowns and more scantily clad women. I’m not complaining!

The synopsis of “31” involves five random people being kidnapped five days before Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World – a man-made hell of a structure where survival is the key as anything goes including, you guessed it, murder. The “contestants” have 12 hours to survive, from what I can tell by the concept art, clown masked clad killers and if the hostages survive, they’ll earn their freedom.
