The Big Lebowski and True Grit star Jeff Bridges has been confirmed for a buddy cop undead comedy called R.I.P.D. which stands for Rest In Peace Department. The Academy Award winning actor joins along side Ryan Reynolds in this Universal Studios film about two dead cops, one recently dead and the other a long time dead gunslinger, make their routine round on trying to keep the dead quiet. Sounds a bit like Dead Heat, doesn’t it?

If you’ve ever been unfortunate to see that piece of shit Vince D’Amato 2004 film Vampires vs Zombies (also called Carmilla, the Lesbian Vampire), a fear has probably dug deep with in the core of you’re very soul urging you to never, ever watch another indie horror project again for the rest of your mundane life. No fear fiends! Lets split up vampires and zombies and add ninjas instead! First, there was Ninjas vs Zombies; a sleek, funny and fresh clash of two factions that never saw the light of day against each other. Director and writer Justin Timpane does a great job with the martial art choreographic and special effects that will put your faith back into indie horror. The subject of this review is Timpane’s sequel to Ninjas vs Zombies; Ninjas vs Vampires was with out a doubt the next logical title for his 2008 versus movie.
Aaron and his long time friend and desire Alex find themselves in the middle of an epic battle between the deadly forces of ninjas and the ultimate blood sucking night stalkers, the vampires. The ninjas look to stop the world from falling into the sharp fangs of the vampires, but when Alex is kidnapped, the clan and Aaron must make a choice to whether risk the fate of the entire world on a single mortal girl.
Remember that remarkable and emotionally stirring first trailer (see here) for the upcoming Dead Island video game? The trailer was gut-wrenched full of chaos in where no one was safe. Techland’s awesome remote island zombie game will turn many heads. A second trailer has been released and, though not as powerful as the first, still has that taste for the theatric or dramatic, if you will.
After the first trailer released, there wasn’t much time between the trailer and the news floating around about film producers and companies shopping around for the rights to make this bad boy into a full fledged feather-length film. Though nothing has come about the film yet, the game hasn’t even been released yet as we’re set for an August 1st date. You can pre-order your Dead Island Xbox 360 or PS3 copies now at Amazon.com!

Milla Jovovich tweets. She tweets a lot. Jovovich tweets so much she drops some news about the fifth Resident Evil film that is suppose to head into theaters September 12, 2012. Jovovich stars as Alice in the entire franchise and, apparently, being married to the series director, writer and producer, she doesn’t receive much information and just guesses on what is going on.
